Read the following CI sample #10 in Japan and give your best possible solution to it.
Helen and Frank and their children were looking forward to moving to Tokyo. The move was uneventful and the family settled into their spacious condominium in Hiroo.
For the first three months, Helen frequented Tokyo’s museums, antique shops, and daytime movie theaters. She liked the Japanese custom of going shopping every day and buying fresh fish and vegetables.
After a while, Helen began to miss her old friends. She received many welcomes, but she just couldn’t make friends. Other families from the U.S. live in another city, a few hours away by train. Even if she tried to stay longer, she would have to pick up her children.
Helen has met a Japanese woman, but she does not invite her to her house, nor does she make plans to see her again, and apparently she does not want to socialize with her.
Helen misses her family back home in the US. The children are exhausted when they get home from school and have to start their homework immediately.
Her husband’s life has become more work-oriented, and he is coming home late at night more often. The work quotas were unthinkably demanding, and just thinking about the time it would take to put down roots made it nearly impossible to meet those quotas.
Helen, who had gone out in the beginning, tended to stay at home. She began to complain that she could not communicate in English when she went shopping. She also developed a dislike for Japanese people because they were cold and did not approach her.
